Serve With Us
One of the central parts of the DNA of Foundation Community Church is multiplication. We want to multiply every position and even the church through multisite and church planting! We multiply through multiple ways, but the most intentional way is our intern program. Internships at FCC are a great way to gain experience for ministry! You will gain hands-on experience for ministry as well as be presented opportunities to grow your gifting.
You will be given leadership opportunities as well as serving opportunities. While every intern will share common goals with the others, your specific internship of choice will give you specific goals to meet and special opportunities to mature to the leader that God has called you to be!
With the Pastoral Internship you will work directly with the elders to prepare yourself for either senior pastor ministry at another local church or eldership at FCC. You will write sermons, help plan sermon series and engage in conversations about theology as well as much more.
With the Youth Internship you will work directly with the youth pastor. You will be given opportunity to lead the youth services, plan events and disciple youth. In addition to these opportunities, you will also be able to see the effect of a great youth ministry.
With the Worship Internship you will be an intricate part of the worship band. You will assist with preparing songs for Sunday service and and special events as well as work in partnership with the pastor to ensure that the songs prepare the congregation for the message.
After completing the Church Planter Internship, you are eligible for the residency. The residency differs from the internship in that the internship is about learning the various models of church planting whereas the residency is preparing you to be sent out to plant.
The residency should take anywhere from 15 to 24 months. During this time you will raise funds, recruit a core group, do demographic work on your target city, design a logo, come up with a church name and much more!
In order to qualify for the church planting program, the following steps must first be completed:
Church Planting Internship
To enter the residency you need to have first completed the Church Planting Internship or the equivalent of it from another church or school.
Church Planting Application
Church Planting Interview
If the elders approve your application, an interview will be scheduled to discuss the application in person before enterering into the residency.
